Beginning this Sunday, June 13, we will hold a single hybrid worship service at 9:30. That means that you are welcome to attend the service either in-person or continue using the live stream from home.
For the time being, everyone who attends in person will be asked to wear a mask. This is because we want to be able to sing, and masks are still recommended for singing. We will also ask you to observe physical distancing by sitting only in pews marked with green tape. We will alternate 8:00 and 10:30 worship styles, except that communion will be continuous (8:00 style) at all services in order to maintain physical distancing. This schedule is planned to go through September 12. The fall schedule will be decided in August.
Beginning this Sunday, May 16, Grace will resume an in-person worship service at 8:00.
We will follow all current public health guidelines and will adapt the service as the guidelines change.
For now the following measures will be followed:
– All windows will be open during the service (please dress accordingly)
– We will observe social distancing. Please sit in pews marked with green tape- Everyone will be required to wear masks
Music will be instrumental or prerecorded, as public health guidelines currently recommend no singing.
– Before and after the service, please limit social interactions to outside of the building.
The 8:00 service will be a communion service every week, with distribution using the communion kits we use for drive-through distribution. We will continue the 9:30 live-stream service with monthly drive through communion. Adult Sunday School will also continue to be held online at 10:45 following the live-streamed service.
BUILDING USE NOTE: Beginning immediately, small groups and committees may meet in the church building. Please follow all public health guidelines and be sensitive to the comfort level of those involved, so that no one is excluded. Consider a remote option for those who do not wish to meet in person yet.
Following the recommendations of the CDC and our local Public Heath District, we are not currently meeting in person. Our worship is now being live-streamed on Facebook and here on the website. On the first Sunday of each month, we hold a communion service, and the elements are distributed in a “drive-thru” style in our parking lot. All congregational meetings are held via zoom and meeting info can be found in the e-mailed Grace Notes announcement page.
For those members and staff who still need to use the building, we ask that you wear a mask at all times and keep the social distancing guideline of keeping 6 feet apart. If you do not have a mask please let us know and we can provide one for you.
Our Food Pantry continues to operate each Thursday from 10am-12pm. However, rather than inviting clients and have them select items themselves, the Food Pantry has also created a drive-thru style to distribute pre-assembled boxes.
